Gibran Arrives at MPR/DPR Building in Traditional Betawi Attire
SEAToday.com, Jakarta-VP-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived at the MPR/DPR Building on Sunday (10/20) for the presidential and vice presidential inauguration for 2024-2029.
Gibran arrived at around 8.30 AM western Indonesian time in black traditional Betawi clothing and a peci with his wife, Selvi Ananda, who wears a red kebaya.
Gibran and Selvi were welcomed by People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) officials, including MPR Head Ahmad Muzani. Gibran and Selvi are waiting for the arrival of President-elect Prabowo Subianto in the waiting room.
Gibran seems to be ready to be inaugurated, as he joined the rehearsal on Saturday (10/19).
The inauguration will begin at 10 AM western Indonesian time. At around 11.30 western Indonesian time, Gibran and Prabowo will leave the MPR/DPR Building for the Merdeka Palace to attend a ceremony with Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin.
