SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Prabowo Subianto will be inaugurated as the 8th Indonesian President on October 20, 2024, at the MPR/DPR Building in Central Jakarta. Several of his family members arrive at his place on Kertanegara Street in South Jakarta.

Prabowo's nephew Budi Djiwandono said that Prabowo will head to the MPR/DPR Building with his family. "There will be his siblings, son, nieces and nephews, like me, and other relatives," Budi explained.

Budi stated that Prabowo and Gibran will go on their own to the inauguration ceremony. "(They will not go together) was what I received. Maybe, Mas Gibran will go from his place," Budi stated.

Budi said that Prabowo is ready to be inaugurated, although he had some activities in the past few days as the president-elect and Defense Minister. "He carried out his activities as per usual, he held a fit and proper test for his ministerial and deputy ministerial candidates. But, he also carried out his duties as the Defense Minister," he said.

Prabowo will depart to the MPR/DPR Building at 9 AM western Indonesian time. The oath of office will be taken at 10 AM western Indonesian time.

Prabowo will be the 8th Indonesian President, after Soekarno, Soeharto, BJ Habibie, Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarnoputri, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and Joko Widodo.

After being inaugurated, Prabowo and Gibran will head to the Merdeka Palace together for ceremonies with President Joko Widodo, who will conclude his duties as president today.

Prabowo is expected to meet state guests and attend a gala dinner at the evening. Many are waiting to see the new Indonesian President and VP.
