People’s Consultative Assembly Holds Presidential Inauguration Rehearsal on October 18-19

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-The People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) will hold rehearsals for the inauguration of the President and Vice President-elect on October 18-19, 2024.

 

MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani announced that a dry run will take place on Friday (10/18), followed by a final rehearsal on Saturday (10/19).

 

This week, the MPR has been making various preparations for the inauguration ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

 

“This week, we will prepare the decorations, followed by the dry run on Friday and the final rehearsal on Saturday,” Muzani said at the Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/15).

 

However, he declined to reveal the theme of the decorations for the President and Vice President’s inauguration ceremony.

 

On another note, Muzani admitted that he is unsure whether the President and Vice President-elect will attend the rehearsals or send representatives.

 

“I don't know who will represent Mr. Prabowo or Mas Gibran,” he said.

 

Furthermore, on Monday (10/14), Muzani stated that the preparation process for the inauguration of the President and Vice President-elect was 90% complete.

 

During a joint meeting of the MPR RI Leaders and MPR RI Faction Leaders, in addition to discussing preparations for the presidential inauguration, the meeting addressed the composition of the MPR RI.

 

The meeting was held at the Nusantara V Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/15).
