KSP Moeldoko Praises President Jokowi’s Achievements During 10 Years of Leading Indonesia

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Indonesian Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) General (Ret.) Moeldoko praised the achievements of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo during his time as the President of Indonesia.
As cited from the ksp.go.id website, one of President Jokowi’s extraordinary achievements was when he successfully overcame the economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that lasted for several years in Indonesia.
According to Moeldoko, who is also a former Armed Forces (TNI) Commander, Indonesia not only survived the pandemic, but also experienced significant progress and development. Meanwhile, other countries in Southeast Asia seemed to be quite down with the COVID-19 storm.
“During the pandemic we not only won, but also made many leaps of progress and development. Currently Indonesia continues to grow and advance,” Moeldoko said. He added that one of President Jokowi’s success factors was the growth of the economic sector which reached 5.3%.
The economic development in Indonesia after COVID-19 is thanks to a strong export performance that stabilizes the economy. “In the fiscal sector, Indonesia restored the budget deficit below three percent quickly in 2022,” Moeldoko explained.
President Jokowi’s quite successful achievement is making a leap in increasing the export value of mining products with the downstream policy. For example, the downstreaming of nickel and goods from it jumped from 0.65 million US dollars to 5.94 million US dollars.
According to Moeldoko, President Jokowi has also successfully carried out a commitment to equalize development throughout Indonesia by holding the principle of Indonesia-Centric development. The number of villages in Indonesia that fall into the underdeveloped category has decreased significantly.
Although President Jokowi’s administration will finish and will be continued by Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, it is certain that Indonesia will experience many changes for the better, including continuing to develop programs that President Jokowi successfully carried out during his presidency.
