Format SIM Baru Diterapkan Mulai Juli 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Korps Lalu Lintas (Korlantas) Polri akan menerapkan format baru untuk Surat Izin Mengemudi (SIM), dengan tambahan gambar mobil atau motor, untuk membantu polisi lalu lintas di ASEAN mengidentifikasi SIM tersebut diperuntukkan bagi tipe kendaraan apa.
Format baru tersebut akan diimplementasikan mulai Juli 2024. Tidak ada perubahan nomor SIM maupun biaya pembuatan SIM.
Pemohon SIM A harus mengisi dan menyerahkan formulir pendaftaran SIM, melaksanakan perekaman biometrik, menyerahkan bukti pembayaran penerimaan negara bukan pajak, serta melampirkan fotokopi KTP (WNI) atau dokumen keimigrasian (WNA), sertifikat pendidikan pelatihan mengemudi, dan surat izin kerja (WNA).
Sementara itu, pemohon SIM C harus berada dalam kondisi jasmani dan rohani yang sehat, memiliki KTP, mengisi formulir permohonan atau mendaftar daring, memiliki pengetahuan seputar lalu lintas dan teknik dasar mengendarai kendaraan bermotor, bisa membaca dan menulis, dan lulus ujian teori dan praktek.
