SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Starting from 2025, the national identification number (NIK) recorded in the identity card (KTP) will replace the driver’s license (SIM) number. KTP itself is one of the requirements of creating a SIM.
Traffic Police Registration and Identification of Motor Vehicles Director Brigadier General Yusri Yunus said, in the future, the police will use “single data”, which is a government’s program.
Previously, the government has joined NIK with the tax identification number (NPWP) to realize an effective and efficient tax administration.
