12 Standard Inpatient Class Facility Criterias

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo asked every hospital working with the National Health Insurance Agency to implement Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) no later than June 30, 2025.
The new regulation was penned down in the Presidential Decree Number 59 of 2024 regarding Health Insurance.
KRIS itself is an inpatient services standard that must be met.
What are the KRIS criterias?
- The building components used must not have a high degree of porosity
- A proper ventilation
- Room lighting of 250 lux (ceiling lamp) and 50 lux (bedside lamp)
- Two sets of contact boxes and nurse calls
- The availability of a nightstand per bed
- Room temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees Celcius
- Rooms are divided by gender, age, and disease type
- A maximum of 4 beds per room, with a minimum of 1.5-meter distance per bed
- The availability of curtains that separate each bed
- The availability of a bathroom in each room
- A bathroom that complies with accessibility standards
- The availability of oxygen outlet
