President Prabowo Monitors Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki Eruption Management
SEAToday.com, Washington-President Prabowo Subianto held a video conference with a number of ministers regarding Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption management.
In an Instagram post, President Prabowo can be seen in a black suit, sitting in a room while talking to a camera during a video conference. During the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by Red and White Cabinet Secretary Major Teddy Indra Wijaya.
“Tonight in Indonesia, and in the morning in the United States, I held an internal meeting via video conference with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, related ministers, and the National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure Head to discuss the disaster management of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT),” President Prabowo captioned his post, Wednesday (11/13).
Even though he was abroad, as president, Prabowo wanted to get the latest information about the assistance provided to the victims of the eruption who are still in many refugee camps, not to mention those who were injured and hospitalized.
“I want to get a detailed update on the disaster and make sure all assistance was provided in a timely and targeted manner, as soon as possible,” President Prabowo added.
“Sir, relax a little, sir, don't be tired, always stay healthy, sir,” wrote a netizen in response to President Prabowo’s actions toward the eruption victims. “Mr. Prabowo is a trustworthy leader,” added another netizen.
President Prabowo is currently conducting a state visit to the United States for the first time as president. Prabowo also met with the United States President Joe Biden to discuss cooperation between the two countries and current global issues.
Prabowo will travel to Peru to attend the APEC Summit and Brazil to attend G-20 activities afterwards. From Brazil, Prabowo will fly to the UK to meet the British Prime Minister and then return to Indonesia.
