SEAToday.com, Paris - Jalan Nusantara, a special area for exhibitions of Indonesian art and culture at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, was inaugurated on Monday (11/13).

The event was attended by Ambassador Mohammad Oemar, the Indonesian Permanent Delegate to UNESCO. On this occasion, he emphasized Indonesia's commitment to preserving cultural objects through UNESCO via Jalan Nusantara.


Jalan Nusantara features 11 art objects donated by the Indonesian Government to UNESCO. Indonesia is the first country to have a special exhibition area at UNESCO Headquarters.

Jalan Nusantara will stand permanently at UNESCO Headquarters for at least the next five years, with the mission of introducing Indonesia's cultural heritage to the global community.
