SEAToday.com, Boyolali - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Kulonprogo Toll Road Section I connecting Kartasura to Klaten, at Banyudono Toll Gate, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Thursday (9/19).

In his remarks, the President said this toll road has been built since 2021 with an investment of 5.6 trillion rupiahs. The toll road will reduce travel time, which has often been affected by traffic jams on the main route between Solo and Yogyakarta.

“This will improve connectivity and accessibility from Solo, Central Java, to the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province," the President said.

In addition to time efficiency, the President also said that the toll road is expected to support economic growth in the surrounding areas. Currently, the Kartasura-Klaten section will not be charged tolls until the operational decree (SK) is issued.
