Depok City Govt. Receives Wahana Tata Nugraha 2024 Award from Transportation Ministry
SEAToday.com, Depok - The Depok city government received the Wahana Tata Nugraha 2024 Award from the Transportation Ministry. This award is given as a form of recognition and consistency in transportation arrangements that focuses on safety, comfort, and smooth traffic.
Depok Municipal Traffic Office Head Zamrowi said, “This is the highest award from the central government for districts or cities that are able to manage a safe and integrated traffic system. It evaluates the road network from district, city, provincial to national roads,” on Monday (9/9).
Some of the roads that were assessed were M. Yasin Street, Margonda Street, Ir. H. Juanda Street and Arif Rahman Hakim Street. The assessment indicator that also received recognition was the public transport (Trans Depok Bus) whose daily passengers reached 5,300-5,500.
Zamrowi said that the Depok Municipality will continue to improve the transport sector by upgrading minibus (angkot) to Microtrans with air-conditioning and others. In the future, residents are expected to switch from private vehicles to public transportation.
