Kemenkes Perketat Pemeriksaan WNA ke Indonesia untuk Cegah Cacar Monyet

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) Indonesia akan memperketat pemeriksaan kesehatan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) yang datang ke Indonesia. Hal tersebut untuk mencegah masuknya virus cacar monyet.

Plt. Dirjen Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P) Kemenkes Yudhi Pramono menyampaikan “peningkatan kewaspadaan khususnya di pintu masuk negara, misal seperti membuat kuesioner bagi WNA yang menjadi tamu undangan negara”. Kuesioner tersebut akan memuat riwayat penyakit, aktivitas kontak, dan tujuan perjalanan penyakit. 

Meski kasus cacar monyet di Indonesia telah menurun dibanding tahun sebelumnya, kewaspadaan tetap diperlukan. Berdasarkan data, pada Januari-Agustus 2024, ada 14 konfirmasi dan 74 suspek discarded. Sementara pada tahun 2023, sebanyak 73 konfirmasi dan 240 kasus suspek discarded.

Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO), sebelumnya telah menetapkan cacar monyet sebagai darurat kesehatan global dan kasus ini semakin meningkat di Republik Demokratik Kongo yang mencapai 2.999 kasus.
