4 Stations in Jakarta Serve Departures During Eid Homecoming
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Transportation Ministry continues to make various efforts to improve public comfort during the 2024 homecoming and return trips. One of them is increasing the number of departure stations.
Quoted from the dephub.go.id page, train departures from Jakarta will be made from four stations, namely Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station, Manggarai Station, and Bekasi Station. Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said this was done to facilitate the passengers and avoid the overcrowding of passengers at one station.
In addition, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has also added two new train sets to West Java, namely Pangandaran train with Gambir Station-Banjar Station, Tasikmalaya route and Papandayan train with Gambir Station-Garut Station route.
Previously, the Transportation Ministry predicted that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on April 8 and the number of travelers using trains will reach 20.3 percent or 39.32 million.
