SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The odd-even policy in Jakarta will be lifted on March 11-12, as it coincides with Nyepi Day and also the joint holiday.

Quoted from DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency's Instagram (@dishubdkijakarta) post, this decision is based on the Joint Decree of the Religious Affairs Minister, the Manpower Minister, and the Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Minister of the Republic of Indonesia No. 855 of 2023, No. 3 of 2023, and No. 4 of 2023 on National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2024.

In addition, it is also based on Governor’s Decree 88 of 2019 Article 3 paragraph (3) on traffic restrictions with odd-even systems that are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays set by Presidential Decree.

Although these provisions are removed, DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency urges road users to continue to obey traffic signs and instructions from officers, and prioritize safety.
