BIAS Solo-Madiun Railway Line Opens, Tickets Start at IDR7,000
SEAToday.com, Solo - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has introduced a new train service, BIAS, connecting Adi Soemarmo Airport Station in Solo, Central Java, and Madiun Station in East Java. The service began on November 2.
PT KAI Vice President of Public Relations Anne Purba said the promotional fares for round-trip tickets range from 7,000 rupiah to 40,000 rupiah, depending on the specific route.
The BIAS train will serve several stations, including Adi Soemarmo, Kadipiro, Solo Balapan, Solo Jebres, Sragen, Walikukun, Ngawi, and Madiun. The travel time between the two endpoints is approximately 1 hour and 59 minutes.
Anne said that train tickets can be purchased through the KAI app up to 7 days in advance or go show (directly at the station counter three hours) before departure.
