Indonesia's National Police Chief Honored with Commander Gagah Pasukan Polis Title by Malaysia

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri), has been honored with the title of Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis by the Kingdom of Malaysia.

The award was presented personally by the King of Malaysia, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agong XVII Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar, at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

In a post on his official social media, the National Police Chief expressed gratitude for receiving the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (PGPP) award, noting it as a recognition of his dedication to regional security and his ongoing collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (Polis Diraja Malaysia, PDRM).

Sigit emphasized that he hopes this accolade will inspire police personnel to enhance their performance. "I hope this award motivates all members to strive for a more effective police force," he remarked.

Prior to General Listyo Sigit, several former police chiefs had also received this honor, including General Police (Ret) Dibyo Widodo, General Police (Ret) Timur Pradopo, and General Police (Ret) Tito Karnavian.
