Prabowo-Gibran to be Inaugurated as President and Vice President Today
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The elected pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period at the Nusantara Building, parliament complex, Jakarta, this Sunday (10/20).
Based on the schedule, the inauguration agenda starts at 10:00 a.m., which is opened by the Speaker of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani. Furthermore, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will read the oath of office.
The plenary session will be attended by Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. Jokowi and Ma'ruf as well as Prabowo and Gibran will exchange seats after the inauguration procession is complete.
The event will be followed by the first speech of the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. In addition to being witnessed by members of the DPR RI, DPD RI, invited guest officials, and the people of the country, the event will also be witnessed by state guests from friendly countries.
On April 24, 2024, the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia named the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair as the elected presidential and vice presidential candidate pair from the 2024 presidential election.
In the 2024 Presidential Election, there were three pairs of candidates, namely pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, pair number 2 Prabowo-Gibran, pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md.
The stipulation is contained in Minutes Number 252/PL.01.9-BA/05/2024 concerning the Determination of the Elected Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pair in the 2024 General Election.
Prabowo-Gibran won 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the total national valid votes and fulfilled at least 20 percent of the votes in each province spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia.
