At Least 11 People Killed by Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon

SEAToday.com, Beirut - At least 11 people were killed and 17 others injured by Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas in Lebanon on Sunday ( 10/6) evening local time, said Lebanese official and military sources.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, six people were killed and 13 others injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in Kayfoun Village, Aley District, Mount Lebanon Governorate.
In a separate Israeli airstrike, five people were killed and four others injured as an Israeli drone launched an air-to-ground missile against a moving motorcycle at the northern entrance of Marjeyoun City, in eastern southern Lebanon.
“An Israeli airstrike destroyed a mosque in the village of Yaroun in the central sector of the border region this (Sunday) afternoon,” a military source said on condition of anonymity.
The Israeli army has been conducting extensive operations in the Lebanese region with the aim of reducing Hezbollah's military capabilities and facilitating the return of Israelis to the country's northern region along the border with Lebanon.
Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been engaged in firefights along the Lebanese-Israeli border since October 8, 2023.
