Israeli Army Attack Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

SEAToday.com, Gaza-Israeli soldiers surrounded the largest hospital in Gaza, Al-Shifa Hospital, Wednesday (15/11). Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, claimed the raid targeted Hamas command center in an underground tunnel, right under the hospital.

The media in Gaza said this attack on the hospital based on these accusations was considered a war crime and a crime against humanity.

"The Israeli army raided the hospital even though there were nearly 9,000 medical staff, patients and refugees in the complex," quoted from Al Jazeera, Wednesday (15/11).

As a result of the attack, the condition of the hospital became increasingly tense. Medical staff stayed away from windows for their safety. The hospital's director, Mohammed Zaqout, said patients were frightened.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, there were around 2,500 people inside the hospital, including medical teams, injured patients, 36 newborn babies, and refugees who had taken shelter in the hospital.

The Israeli army also set up electronic checkpoints at several doors of the main hospital building. Everyone who enters the hospital must go through a checkpoint to be questioned.
