PUPR Minister: Nusantara to Have Accessible Clean Water by Mid-July

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hadimuljono confirmed on Wednesday (7/11) that a clean water supply will enter Nusantara (IKN) starting on July 15.

"I have said that the water will come in mid-July," said Minister Basuki. He explained they will begin clean water testing (commissioning) on July 15. Minister Basuki would check the readiness and come to IKN on 18 July.

Meanwhile, the PUPR Minister also stated that electricity is already accessible in IKN, which is precisely 10 megawatts. He added that the next 40 MW is currently being prepared.

According to him, if the electricity and water supply are ready, the President can start his office in IKN from July 22. However, to ensure the certainty of the move, he asked to wait for confirmation from the president himself.
