SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo stated Indonesia's preparedness to host several high-profile international sporting events in 2025 after attending an internal meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/7). 

The events under consideration include the World Surf League, World Rally Championship, World Abilitysport Games, World Gymnastics Championship, and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Meanwhile, ongoing world championship events like MotoGP in Mandalika, Aquabike and Powerboat in Lake Toba, Medan, and MXGP will continue to be held.

In addition to discussing Indonesia's readiness for these events, the meeting also addressed the transformation of football and basketball in Indonesia.  President Joko Widodo agreed to grant official National Organization status to FIFA and FIBA, which will allow them to establish official offices in Indonesia.
