SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hadimuljono announced that the construction of the Presidential Palace and several government buildings in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is on track for completion in July 2024.

Minister Basuki revealed on Friday (6/28) that construction has reached 82 percent completion for the Presidential Palace, government buildings, and residences for civil servants (ASN). He added that the transfer of ASN personnel will also be carried out in stages after August.

Previously, PUPR’s Director General of Human Settlements Diana Kusumastuti confirmed that the Presidential Palace will be ready for occupancy by July. This aligns with President Joko Widodo's plan to begin working in IKN a month before Indonesia's Independence Day.

"We’ve prepared everything. Minister Basuki will reside there, and so will the President. Hopefully it goes according to plan," said Diana.
