WWF ke-10 Hasilkan Rencana Global Water Fund Jadi Kesempatan Emas Bagi Indonesia

SEAToday.com, Nusa Dua-Pertemuan World Water Forum (WWF) ke-10 yang bertempat di Bali, Indonesia dan dihadiri lebih dari 30 negara membuahkan hasil rencana berupa pembentukan Global Water Fund.

Staf Khusus Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) bidang Sumber Daya Air, Firdaus Ali mengatakan bahwa negara-negara yang hadir dalam forum tersebut menyetujui rencana Global Water Fund. 

“Negara tetangga kita juga melihat (Global Water Fund). Singapura melihat bahwa investasi di sektor air Indonesia itu juga paling seksi dibandingkan dengan negara lain,” kata Firdaus pada Senin (20/5/2024), saat konferensi pers dilansir dari Antara.

Selain Singapura, negara lain seperti Thailand, Malaysia, Tiongkok, Korea Selatan, Jepang, Belanda, dan Amerika Serikat juga tertarik akan pendirian Global Water Fund.

Firdaus berharap juga bahwa dengan adanya forum ini, Global Water Fund dapat disepakati lebih lanjut untuk solusi mengatasi hambatan fiskal terkait proyek-proyek air.

“Makanya kita punya beberapa high level panel (panel tingkat tinggi) yang akan membahas itu (Global Water Fund),” tambah Firdaus.

Pembuatan rencana ini juga sebagai upaya pemerintah untuk merespons target Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ke-6 yaitu tentang pemenuhan akses air bersih dan sanitasi bagi semua. (SALSABILLA/DKD)
