World Water Council Jadikan Indonesia Sebagai Ibu Kota Air Dunia Selama WWF

SEAToday.com, Nusa Dua-Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council menjadikan Indonesia sebagai Ibu Kota Perairan Dunia dan Bali menjadi pusat air dunia selama gelaran World Water Forum Ke-10 pada pekan ini.
Melansir ANTARA, Fauchon mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Indonesia atas persiapan yang dilakukan dengan baik dan penuh ramah untuk forum tersebut.
"Ya, Indonesia adalah Ibu Kota Perairan Dunia dan Bali pusat air dunia selama minggu ini," kata Fauchon melalui sambutan pembukaan KTT WWF ke-10 di Nusa Dua, Bali pada Senin (20/5/2024).
"Presiden Joko Widodo mengabulkan permintaan saya, pada saat itu G20, untuk menjadi Water Messenger dan sekali lagi saya ucapkan terima kasih," tambahnya.
Lebih lanjut Fauchon mengatakan, keanggotaan WWF selalu membawa peran sebagai Water Messenger atau Duta Air.
Namun, Fauchon mendorong agar seluruh pemangku kebijakan bisa mempengaruhi masyarakat untuk memperbanyak inovasi, pendanaan, hingga tata kelola air yang lebih baik.
Ia berharap peran Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah WWF tahun ini bisa menjadi penanda perubahan menuju tindakan nyata pada tata kelola air secara global. (HALIMATUN/DKD)
