The Location Around the Exploded Munitions Warehouse is Already Safe
A large explosion occurred at the ammunition warehouse of the 07/155 GS Field Artillery Battalion (Yonarmed) of the Jayakarta Jaya Military Regional Command in Bantargebang, Bekasi City, West Java, on Saturday (3/30).

SEAToday.com, Bogor-Pangdam Jaya Major General Mohamad Hasan said that the location around the ammunition warehouse that exploded is now safe. He said that the public no longer needs to worry.

"We advise all people around this location to calm down and not to worry anymore, because we judge that the impact of the incident cannot cause another explosion," Major General Hasan said in Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday, 30 March 2024, as reported by Antara.

Major General Hasan said, that although it has been confirmed safe, TNI members will sweep around the explosion site which is close to the Regional Munitions Warehouse (Gudmurah) of Kodam Jaya, namely in Ciangsana Village, Bogor Regency. According to him, the sweeping was carried out to ensure that the shells and remnants of materials that exploded and went outside the warehouse area could be secured and cleaned by officers.

He said the officers had managed to collect and safeguard the casings or munitions that were flung out.

"We ask the public if they find casings or munitions that have been flung out to report them. However, so far all the impacts that have occurred have been secured," he explained.

He said that the extinguishing process has now been completed. He said that this was thanks to the cooperation of all elements involved.

"Earlier, we received assistance from the DKI Fire Department and we managed to extinguish everything," he explained.
