Depok Monitoring Post Alert 1, BPBD asks People Along the Ciliwung River to be Alert

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has urged residents living along the Ciliwung River to remain alert for potential flooding. This follows the Alert Level 1 or Danger status recorded at the Depok Monitoring Post on Tuesday (3/3) at 12:40 AM WIB.
"We inform you that the water level at the Depok Monitoring Post has reached 350 cm with rainy conditions," said a BPBD Jakarta officer through the X account @BPBDJakarta.
BPBD also released a list of areas at risk of flooding due to the increased status of the Depok Monitoring Post. Some of these include Srengseng Sawah, Lenteng Agung, and Tanjung Barat. Additionally, Pejaten Timur, Rawajati, Cikoko, Bukit Duri, Manggarai, and Kampung Melayu are also listed as flood-prone zones. "We urge riverside residents to remain vigilant and cautious," they added.
Meanwhile, heavy rainfall in the Puncak area of Bogor Regency, West Java, on Monday (3/3) night caused the Ciliwung River water level at Katulampa Dam, Bogor City, to rise to 170 cm, reaching Alert Level 2 at 11:00 PM WIB, with a water discharge of 339,679 liters per second.
Previously, on Sunday (3/2) at 9:33 PM WIB, the water level at Katulampa Dam had even reached 220 cm, classified as Alert Level 1, with a discharge of 514,659 liters per second.
