SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency, will implement traffic engineering measures from Saturday (2/15) to Tuesday (5/20). These adjustments support the construction of Kota Station, which is part of the north-south line phase 2A project.

According to PT MRT Jakarta's Corporate Secretary Division Head, Ahmad Pratomo, the work area around the Kota Pedestrian Tunnel (TPO) will be expanded by shifting the project fence to the west and south sides. As a result, the vehicle lanes on the west side of Jalan Pintu Besar Utara (northbound) in front of the Mandiri Museum will be reduced to a single lane. Meanwhile, the east side (southbound) will retain two lanes.

On Jalan Jembatan Batu, traffic in both directions will be narrowed from three lanes to two, particularly from Simpang Asemka to the Mangga Dua Raya TransJakarta bus stop. However, on Jalan Mangga Dua Raya, each direction will still have three lanes.

Meanwhile, traffic flow on Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan remains unchanged, with access in and out still available via the west side of the road for TransJakarta, residents, and customers in the area.

This traffic adjustment is part of the construction of Entree 4 Kota Station, which will eventually integrate with Jakarta Kota Railway Station and the northern corridor. This corridor will connect the station box construction with the northern entrance of Kota Station.

The project is being carried out by PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) in collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company Jakarta – Hutama Karya Joint Operation (SMCC-HK JO) as the main contractor. Throughout the construction process, MRT Jakarta remains committed to ensuring the safety and convenience of road users by installing traffic signs, road markings, and public street lighting (PJU).
