Pertamina Urges Consumers to Buy 3 Kg LPG Directly from Official Outlets

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga urges the public to purchase 3 kg LPG directly from official distributors to ensure they get it at the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by local governments.
"Buying from official distributors ensures a lower price compared to purchasing from resellers," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Heppy Wulansari when contacted by ANTARA from Jakarta on Saturday.
Heppy also stated that resellers can become official distributors if they meet the necessary requirements. This announcement aligns with the policy of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), which plans to convert 3 kg LPG resellers into official distributors starting February 1, 2025.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Yuliot Tanjung, has called on resellers to register as official distributors within the one-month transition period. By March 2025, there will be no more 3 kg LPG resellers, ensuring better distribution control and maintaining prices in line with HET.
According to Yuliot, this policy aims to prevent the sale of 3 kg LPG at prices higher than the regulated HET and to ensure that subsidized energy reaches the right consumers. Additionally, it will allow the government to better monitor public demand for LPG.
Pertamina Patra Niaga has affirmed its commitment to implementing this policy in accordance with government directives through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Consumers looking for the nearest official distributor can visit https://subsiditepatlpg.mypertamina.id/infolpg3kg or contact Call Center 135 for more information.
Meanwhile, Heppy emphasized that there is currently no price increase for subsidized 3 kg LPG at official distributors. If higher prices are found, it is likely due to purchases made outside official distributors or through resellers.
Additionally, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia announced that the government is implementing purchase restrictions on 3 kg LPG to ensure that the distribution of subsidized LPG is accurately targeted. This effort is part of a broader initiative to restructure 3 kg LPG sales, making sure the subsidy reaches those who truly need it.
