45 Container Trucks Aid from Indonesia Arrives in Gaza

SEAToday.com, Gaza - A total of 45 container trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Indonesia, through the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), entered Gaza on Tuesday (1/28). The trucks were sent through Rafah in cooperation with the Egyptian humanitarian organizations Bait Zakat Wa As-Shadaqat and Sunnah Al Hayyah.
The humanitarian aid included more than 50,000 cartons of packages containing various basic goods such as instant noodles, rice, beans, cheese, canned tuna, biscuits, juice boxes, flour, sauce, and dates.
Indonesian BAZNAS Chairman Noor Achmad stated that this aid is the first step and will be followed by hundreds more trucks. In addition, he mentioned that the organization plans to rebuild public facilities damaged in the attacks.
"Our goal is to receive all the aid before and during Ramadan. If possible, BAZNAS will build public kitchens and health services in Gaza," he said.
Moving forward, Noor mentioned that Baznas RI will not only distribute food aid, but also plans to rebuild various public facilities that were previously destroyed by the war, such as hospitals, schools, and others.
So far, Baznas RI has distributed Rp120 billion in humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, with the number of beneficiaries reaching 407,350 Palestinians and still growing.
