Jakarta General Elections Commission to Appoint Elected Governor, Vice Governor on January 9

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) announced that it will appoint the elected Governor and Vice Governor of the 2024 Regional Elections on Thursday (1/9). This was announced by the Data and Information Division Head of Jakarta KPU Fahmi Zikrillah, Sunday (1/5).
Fahmi explained, according to General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) 18 in the attachment of recapitulation activities schedule, it is stated that after the Constitutional Court (MK) officially notifies the application in the Constitutional Case Registration Book (BRPK) to the KPU, the winning participant will be determined as the winner.
Fahmi said that the event to appoint the elected Governor and Deputy Governor will invite all participants in the 2024 Jakarta Elections as well as representatives of political parties.
Previously, on December 8, 2024, the Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU DKI Jakarta) announced that the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor with ballot number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (also known as Si Doel), secured the most votes in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Election, with a total of 2,183,239 votes.
The Pram-Doel pair received the highest number of votes, totaling 2,183,239, while the other candidate pair, ballot number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), garnered 1,718,160 votes.
