SEAToday.com, Jakarta – The government and the Hajj Cost Working Committee (Panja) of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) have agreed to set the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage cost at IDR 55,431,750 (55.4 million rupiah)

"Based on the BPIH, the total cost for the 1446 Hijri/2025 Hajj is IDR 89,410,258.79," said Panja Chairman Abdul Wachid during a meeting summary with the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Monday (1/6).

The meeting, led by Abdul Wachid, was also attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Deputy Minister Romo Syafi'i, and the Director General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU), Hilman Latief.

Wachid explained that the 2025 BPIH includes funds from the financial benefits of hajj management amounting to IDR 33.9 million per pilgrim (38% of total BPIH) and Bipih, which is IDR 55.4 million per pilgrim (62% of total BPIH). These costs cover airfare, accommodations in Mecca and Medina, and living expenses.

Additionally, Wachid mentioned that the Bipih paid by pilgrims will be adjusted based on their initial deposit and the remaining balance in their virtual account, with an option for installment payments until the final payment deadline.

Wachid also noted that the 2025 BPIH decreased by IDR 4 million compared to 2024, which was set at IDR 93.4 million per pilgrim
