Religious Affairs Ministry Proposes Hajj Cost at IDR 93.3 Million, Pilgrims Charged IDR 65 Million
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) has proposed the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) for the 1446 Hijri/2025 Hajj period at IDR 93,389,684 per person. This was conveyed by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar in a meeting with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Monday (12/30).
“For the year 1446 Hijri or 2025 A.D., the government proposes an average BPIH per hajj candidate of Rp93,389,684,” said Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar.
Minister Nasaruddin said that the proposal consists of Hajj travel costs (Bipih) covered by Hajj candidates IDR 65,372,779 or 70 percent, while the other 30 percent, amounting to IDR 28,016,905, will be covered by the value of benefits managed by the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH).
The 30 percent covered includes flight costs, accommodation services, consumption costs, transportation services, services in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, protection, and so on.
