SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is planned to be built into a 10-minute city, where supporting facilities allow people to get around the area in just 10 minutes. Later, IKN will be built by prioritizing pedestrian paths and environmentally friendly public transportation to minimize the use of private vehicles. This is in line with President Joko Widodo's mandate that 80 percent of the IKN community use public transportation.

Chief Urban Mobility IKN Authority (OIKN) Resdiansyah said that the ease of public mobility and the role of infrastructure are the backbone of IKN. His party will control the portion of 20 percent of private vehicles through a smart transportation system and implement a park and ride policy if private vehicles exceed the portion.

In addition, IKN will also rely on individual mobility tools with speeds below 25 km/h, or micromobility, so that the process of delivering goods no longer uses online motorcycle or online taxi services. However, Resdiansyah said that the finalization of all these plans depends on the next elected president.
