Erick Thohir: Kereta Langsung Jakarta-Semarang, Inovasi Transportasi yang Dinanti

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir mengungkapkan bahwa peluncuran layanan kereta langsung Jakarta-Semarang tanpa transit bertujuan untuk menyediakan transportasi yang lebih nyaman dan efisien bagi masyarakat.
Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Erick saat uji coba perjalanan kereta dari Stasiun Gambir ke Stasiun Semarang Tawang bersama Menteri Perhubungan Dudy Purwagandhi, Direktur Utama PT KAI Didiek Hartantyo, dan Utusan Khusus Presiden Raffi Ahmad pada Senin malam (9/12).
"Kami mencoba memberikan solusi pelayanan kepada masyarakat bahwa ada terobosan kereta yang jalurnya bisa langsung ke Semarang," ujar Erick dalam keterangan di Jakarta, Selasa.
Menurut Erick, inovasi ini merupakan terobosan penting dalam layanan transportasi darat yang terbukti menarik minat masyarakat, terlihat dari tingginya penjualan tiket. Ia juga berharap kehadiran Raffi Ahmad dan influencer lain dapat membantu mempromosikan layanan ini.
Erick menyebut keberangkatan kereta pukul 23.00 WIB sebagai pilihan strategis yang memberikan fleksibilitas waktu bagi penumpang. Ia juga menyoroti peningkatan fasilitas di Stasiun Gambir, termasuk ruang mandi, loker, pilihan makanan, dan apotek.
Uji coba ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari upaya memenuhi arahan Presiden Prabowo Subianto untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan transportasi publik. Erick pun mengapresiasi sinergi yang terjalin antara Kementerian BUMN, Kementerian Perhubungan, dan PT KAI dalam mewujudkan layanan ini.
"Mudah-mudahan ini juga menjadi peningkatan pelayanan Sesuai arahan Bapak Presiden Prabowo yang memastikan kita terus meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat," ucap dia.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Erick menyampaikan apresiasinya atas sinergi yang telah terjalin antara Kementerian BUMN, Kementerian Perhubungan, dan PT KAI.
