SEAToday.com, Hanoi-Around 300 Vietnamese citizens stranded in the Myanmar conflict zone were safely evacuated on Monday and they arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi on Tuesday (5/12).

In addition, the repatriation aimed to ensure absolute safety for citizens, was conducted under the government’s direction and all the repatriation fees were covered by the government.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with domestic agencies, overseas representative agencies of Vietnam, authorities of Myanmar, and partner countries to return Vietnamese citizens home as their lives are in danger due to ongoing conflicts and complex development in Myanmar.

On the other hand, according to the Vietnam embassy in Myanmar, more than 800 Vietnamese citizens have been granted travel documents and are eligible to be repatriated.

Besides, they will be divided into groups for repatriation, in which most of the evacuees are young, including those working at scam online gambling and abandoned by employers in northern states of Myanmar.

Lastly, Vietnamese nationals are once again cautioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be cautious against offers to work abroad for “easy but high-paying” jobs with no requirements for degree, no signed contracts.
