SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Pariwisata (KAI Wisata) will introduce the Java Priority Train service as part of the Special Train (KLB) for the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year period, serving the Gambir Station - Yogyakarta and vice versa route. The Java Priority Train will operate from December 19, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

"The Java Priority Train will utilize one dining on train car, two imperial cars, and five priority cars, which are currently coupled with the Bogowonto, Brawijaya, Fajar Utama Yogyakarta, Gajahwong, Manahan, and Senja Utama Yogyakarta trains," said Hendy Helmy, President Director of KAI Wisata, on Tuesday (12/3).

According to Hendy, the Gambir-Yogyakarta route was chosen because both cities are popular tourist destinations in Indonesia, both for domestic and international tourists.

The Java Priority Train has a seating capacity of up to 30 seats. Each seat is equipped with a folding table and a power socket that can be used during the journey, as well as several other premium facilities.
