President Prabowo Subianto Announces Increased Teacher Welfare Allocation for 2025
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto announced that the budget allocation for the welfare of both civil servant (ASN) and non-civil servant (non-ASN) teachers will increase from 16.7 trillion rupiah to 81.6 trillion rupiah in 2025. This policy was announced during the 2024 National Teachers' Day commemoration at the Velodrome Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Thursday (11/28).
ASN teachers will receive an additional welfare allowance equivalent to one month’s basic salary, while the professional allowance for non-ASN teachers will be raised to 2 million rupiahs per month.
In addition, the government will allocate funds for teacher certification programs across all regions, provide educational assistance for teachers without D4 or bachelor's degrees to continue their studies, among other initiatives.
President Prabowo emphasized that this is part of the government’s effort to ensure that teachers receive proper recognition for their contributions to advancing the nation's education.
