President Prabowo: National Coordination Meeting 2024 is a Strategic Milestone for Uniting Regions with Central Leadership
SEAToday.com, Bogor - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the 2024 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for the Central and Regional Governments serves as a crucial strategy for aligning policymakers from the central government to the regional level.
“This is a highly valuable, strategic moment. It’s also something we seldom do—having nearly all decision-makers from every level come together to set the direction of our nation's future for the coming years,” Prabowo remarked as he opened the National Coordination Meeting at the SICC in Bogor Regency on Thursday.
The President expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Tito Karnavian, for organizing a forum that brought together more than 5,000 participants. He noted the importance of the event as it marked his first opportunity to address all key decision-makers across Indonesia.
In broad terms, Prabowo stated that his directives at this event were aligned with the vision he outlined in his inaugural speech as the 8th President of Indonesia at the MPR Building in Jakarta on Sunday, October 20.
Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian highlighted that this gathering aimed to ensure regional policies could effectively support key national programs under President Prabowo's Astacita vision.
“The goal is to coordinate and harmonize regional governments, Forkopimda, and regional agencies with the priority programs and policy directions of the President for the next five years,” Tito explained.
The 2024 National Coordination Meeting for the Central and Regional Governments is themed “Implementing Astacita to Achieve a Golden Indonesia by 2045.” The event features discussion panels with participants from various agencies to align efforts towards the Astacita vision for creating a prosperous and advanced Indonesia by 2045.
