Donald Trump is Projected to Win the 2024 US Presidential Election

SEAToday.com, Jakarta – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is projected to win the 2024 U.S. presidential election over his Democratic opponent, current Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Fox News quick count data observed until the afternoon of November 6 (Jakarta time), Trump is expected to secure the presidency with 277 electoral votes, surpassing the 270-vote requirement to win the election and making him the 47th President of the United States.
The crucial state in Trump’s victory was Wisconsin, with its 10 electoral votes. This state, which supported Joe Biden in 2020, shifted to back Trump in this election, joining Georgia and Pennsylvania as previously Democratic states that Trump won this time around.
With 51.2% of the popular vote compared to Harris’s 47.4%, Trump also leads in the popular vote. Fox News reports that Trump’s victory makes him the second U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms, a distinction he shares with Grover Cleveland, who was elected in both 1884 and 1892.
As of the Associated Press (AP) quick count at the time of reporting, Trump holds 267 electoral votes and 51.2% of the popular vote, leading over Harris, who has 224 electoral votes and 47.4% of the popular vote.
The 60th U.S. Presidential and Congressional Elections took place on November 5, 2024, determining the nation’s next president and vice president. Vice President Kamala Harris, aged 60, became the Democratic candidate following President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw mid-2024, while Donald Trump, 78, ran for a third consecutive time to reclaim the White House.
