Tiga Siswa Indonesia Raih Medali Perak di International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2024

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Tiga siswa Indonesia meraih masing-masing medali perak dalam acara International Biology Olympiad (IBO) ke-35 tahun 2024 di Astana, Kazakhstan, yang ditutup, Sabtu (13/7) malam waktu setempat di Gedung Congress Center, Astana, Kazakhstan.
Medali perak tersebut diraih oleh Aaron Christian Endrij (SMAK BPK Gading Serpong), Keisha Rochelline Simorangkir (SMAN 8 Jakarta), dan Erlangga Dief Putra Hamam (SMA Al Irsyad Al Islamiyah). Sementara itu, wakil Indonesia lainnya, Samuel Cristian (SMAN 19 Jakarta) belum berhasil meraih medali. Para peserta melakukan dua bagian tes yakni tes praktikum dan teori.
Ajang ini diikuti oleh 249 siswa dari 78 negara serta 261 juri yang berperan dalam melakukan penjurian, menjaga kualitas tes yang diujikan, dan memastikan pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar serta mengedepankan semangat fair play.
Duta Besar RI untuk Kazakhstan dan Tajikistan Fadjroel Rachman yang menghadiri agenda penyerahan medali IBO ke-35 tersebut mengaku bangga atas pencapaian para siswa. Rachman mengatakan, Indonesia tak kekurangan talenta hebat yang siap bersaing di kancah Internasional.
