SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bali Province will present a polling station (TPS) with all female officials wearing traditional Balinese dress. This was announced by Bali Provincial KPU Chairman I Dewa Agung Gede Lidartawan in Denpasar on Thursday (2/8).
He said he had asked each district/city KPU to present at least one polling station with polling organizer group officers (KPPS), polling station supervisors to order officers who were all women. In addition, the witnesses of the 2024 election participants at the polling station are also both women.
Furthermore, he said that the purpose of the polling stations with female organizers was to encourage the participation of women in Bali Province, especially as there has been a view that taking care of politics is dirty. He felt that by giving women this opportunity, it was hoped that they would begin to change their minds and want to enter politics.
