Kebaya Resmi Ditetapkan Jadi Warisan Budaya Takbenda UNESCO

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kebaya resmi ditetapkan sebagai salah satu Daftar Representatif Warisan Budaya Takbenda UNESCO. Keputusan tersebut disampaikan dalam sidang ke-19 Session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) di Paraguay, Rabu (4/12).
Kebaya menjadi warisan budaya Takbenda usulan Indonesia ke-15 yang diakui UNESCO. Dilansir laman resmi UNESCO, kebaya diajukan Indonesia dalam bersama dengan Brunei Darussalam, Singapura, Malaysia, dan Thailand.
Menteri Kebudayaan Fadli Zon, Rabu (4/12) mengatakan, upaya pengajuan bersama ini menunjukkan semangat kerja sama dan persatuan negara-negara Asia Tenggara dalam melestarikan warisan budaya. Selain itu, ia berharap dapat mendorong kesadaran masyarakat untuk ikut melestarikan kebaya.
