SEAToday.com, Jakarta - US president-elect Donald Trump has appointed SpaceX founder Elon Musk (@elonmusk) to lead the Government Efficiency Department. Trump believes that the X owner is qualified to manage government finances and budget efficiency.

In a statement released on Tuesday (11/12), Trump said Elon will be accompanied by former Republican presidential candidate Viviek Ramaswamny to lead the new department, which will be established after his presidential inauguration in January 2025.

Both will pave the way for the administration to reduce bureaucracy, cut excessive regulations, reduce unnecessary spending, and restructure federal agencies.

Previously, Elon wrote last September that he hoped to serve America if he was ever given the chance. He is willing to not be paid, not given a position, and not given recognition.
