SEAToday.com, Chon Buri - The adorable dwarf hippo, Moo Deng, has captured the hearts of millions around the world. His internet fame has not only attracted a surge of tourists to Khao Kheow Open Zoo but has also led to an incredible act of generosity.

A Dubai-based billionaire has donated 5 million baht (approximately 2.3 billion rupiah) to the zoo, located in Chon Buri province, Thailand. The news was shared on the Khao Kheow Open Zoo's Facebook page on Sunday (10/6). The zoo announced that a Dubai-based cryptocurrency creator had made the generous donation to support Moo Deng and the zoo, as reported by The Thaiger.

“Thank you, $HIPPO, for the 5 million baht donation. This is the beginning of an exciting collaboration to support Moo Deng and Thai zoos,” the post stated.

Accompanying the post were photos of Khao Kheow Open Zoo representatives alongside representatives from the Dubai-based cryptocurrency company, whose identity remains undisclosed. Another heartwarming photo showed Moo Deng basking in the afternoon sun with his caretaker, Auttaphon "Benz" Nundee, proudly holding the donation sign.

The donation will be used to support various initiatives at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, all aimed at improving the welfare of the animals.

The official X account for the $HIPPO cryptocurrency also announced that this donation is just the beginning of their campaign, with the development team planning additional contributions to zoos across Thailand.

$HIPPO is classified as a meme coin, created for entertainment and designed to ride the wave of contemporary trends. The coin was inspired by Moo Deng, who is now hailed as the world's cutest hippo.
