SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has inaugurated a new bus route, 14A, connecting the National Monument (Monas) and Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). The launch coincides with the reopening of the Monas bus stop on Sunday (9/29).

The Monas bus stop had undergone renovations due to the construction of the MRT Phase 2A CP202 towards Kota.

Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR at PT Transjakarta, stated that the 14A route is integrated with other Transjakarta services. This is expected to facilitate passengers who want to transfer to other Transjakarta routes, both corridor and non-corridor, that pass through the Monas bus stop.

"Passengers from JIS can transfer at the Monas bus stop to use other Transjakarta services, and vice versa. We remain committed to providing a public transportation system that facilitates passenger mobility," said Ayu, as reported by Antara.

Ayu further explained that in addition to serving the 14A route (Monas - Jakarta International Stadium), the Monas bus stop now has a maximum passenger capacity of 2,447 people. The number of boarding and alighting doors has also been increased from six to eighteen.

"With a larger capacity, we hope to improve passenger comfort when boarding and alighting buses at the stop. We also hope that more passengers will switch to using public transportation, especially Transjakarta," said Ayu.

She detailed the routes served by the Monas bus stop, including Corridor 1 (Blok M - Kota), Route 1A (Maju Beach - Balaikota), Corridor 2 (Pulogadung - National Monument), Corridor 3 (Kalideres - National Monument via Veteran), Route 5C (Cililitan - Juanda), Route 7F (Kampung Rambutan - Juanda via Cempaka Putih), 14A (National Monument - Jakarta International Stadium), M1 (Blok M - Kota), M2 (Pulogadung - National Monument), and M3 (Kalideres - National Monument).
