General Maruli Simanjuntak Inaugurated as Army Chief of Staff

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo inaugurated General Maruli Simanjuntak as Army Chief of Staff at the State Palace on Wednesday (11/29). General Maruli Simanjuntak replaces General Agus Subiyanto, who was previously inaugurated as Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander on November 22.

After reading the oath, Lieutenant General Maruli signed the minutes of the inauguration, witnessed by President Joko Widodo, Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The inauguration also marked his promotion from Lieutenant General to General. Previously, General Maruli served as Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command.
