GQ menilai, Motaz telah menjadi tokoh global dan perwujudan harapan bagi masyarakat Gaza dan seluruh masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Karyanya melambangkan kekuatan aktivisme digital dan sisi kemanusiaannya merupakan pengingat yang penting bahwa keberanian muncul dalam berbagai bentuk.
Motaz berhasil mengumpulkan jutaan orang yang melihat dan ikut berdoa untuk warga Gaza dalam setiap hasil jepretannya.
