SEAToday.com, Jepang - Pemerintah Jepang akan mewajibkan tes tuberkulosis (TBC) pada 2024 mendatang untuk wisatawan asal Indonesia, Filipina, Vietnam, Tiongkok, Nepal, dan Myanmar.
Menteri Kesehatan Jepang Keizo Takemi menyebutkan, tes tersebut diberlakukan untuk wisatawan dari enam negara yang akan berkunjung selama lebih dari tiga bulan. Dalam Komite Majelis Tinggi untuk Kesehatan, Perburuhan, dan Kesejahteraan yang digelar pada Kamis (16/11), Takemi mengatakan pemberlakuan tes tersebut dilakukan karena banyaknya pasien TBC baru di Jepang yang berasal dari negara-negara tersebut.
Pelaksanaan tes ini tidak dapat dilakukan di sembarang tempat, sehingga para wisatawan akan diminta untuk melakukan tes TBC di institusi medis yang ditunjuk oleh pemerintah Jepang. Jika hasil tes terbukti positif, Jepang tidak akan mengeluarkan visanya.
