SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The General Elections Commission (KPU) will hold re-vote in hundreds polling stations in Indonesia.
Previously, the Chairman of the KPU, Hasyim Asy'ari, on Wednesday (2/14) mentioned that the number of polling stations affected amounted to 668 polling stations spread across several provinces, including in Central Java Province, as many as 108 polling stations in Demak will hold re-voting due to floods that hit the region. In Riau Islands Province, there are 8 polling stations in Batam that lack ballots. Then in Central Papua Province, there are 456 polling stations in Puncak Jaya Regency, then 92 polling stations in Paniai Regency were canceled due to damaged election logistics. In Mountainous Papua Province there are 4 polling stations in Jayawijaya Regency that must be canceled due to security problems.
However, on Thursday (2/15) the number increased to 680 polling stations after 12 polling stations in Sunter, North Jakarta were also affected by flooding.
