Religious Ministry Extends Repayment for Hajj Expenses Until February 23
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The General Directorate of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the first phase of the regular Hajj pilgrims' repayment period until February 23. With the extended repayment period, the second phase of the repayment process has been adjusted. With the extended period, the second phase of the payment process has also been adjusted to March 13-26.
Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson Anna Hasbie on Monday (2/12) urged pilgrims who met the Istithaah requirements to repay the Hajj fees immediately during the extension of the first phase of payment. She also urged pilgrims who are eligible to pay this year but have not yet undergone a medical check-up to do it immediately.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs' website, Indonesia's hajj quota this year is 241,000 pilgrims, divided into 213,320 regular pilgrims and 27,680 special pilgrims.
